Our History..

200 volunteers from the Building of Hope Project constructed a polytechnic and feeding centre in the parish of Migombani. The centre will  give training to teenagers in carpentry, electrical, cooking, dressmaking and many other educational skills which will enable them to get out of the poverty trap and empower them to secure sustainable employment.

A block making plant was established in  February, 2008 where 14 of the local men were employed making the blocks for the building which was constructed.  In all a total of 40,000 blocks were made. A women’s group was also set up at this time and 14 sewing machines purchases.  They do dressmaking and alterations and continue to earn a small living from this working group.
